紅梅白梅　red and white plum blossoms

遅まきながら初詣に出かけました。京都北野天満宮は既に梅が見頃です。春間近です。

I went out for Hatsumode (New Year’s visit to a shrine) at this late date. Plum blossoms are already in full bloom at Kitano Tenmangu Shrine in Kyoto. Spring is just around the corner.
