雨氷　freezing rain

蓼科にいます。雨氷という珍しい現象で、過冷却された雨が地表に落ちてきた瞬間、樹々を凍らせます。日が当たって溶け始めるとまるでガラス細工みたいです。その造形美に鳥肌が立ちます。

I am in Tadeshina. Rain ice, a rare phenomenon, freezes trees the moment supercooled rain falls to the ground. When the sun hits the trees and they begin to melt, they look like glasswork. The beauty of the formations gives me goose bumps.
